Bealink: aggregating and customizing content for learning
Bealink enables flexible learning through playlists for self-directed content exploration and courses for structured progression. Administrators can create official paths, configure visibility, and highlight content. The platform supports multimodal learning with digital and synchronous elements, personalized schedules, and event management. Features like progression rules, automated certifications, and multilingual access streamline skill development and engagement.
Diverse content integration
Bealink’s open architecture supports a wide range of content formats, including articles, videos, podcasts, LMS content, MOOCs, VR content, and more. Content can be grouped in two ways:
Playlists: Users access content in any order, choosing what interests them.
Courses: Content is sequenced, requiring users to complete one item before proceeding to the next.
This flexibility allows aggregation from multiple sources into structured learning paths or playlists. For example, a playlist can include an intranet document, a YouTube video, a Coursera course, a GetAbstract book summary, a podcast, and a TED Talk.
User-generated playlists
Users can create playlists to consolidate content that mixes formats for skill and knowledge development. Playlists can combine generic content with company-specific material for tailored learning experiences.
Creating a Playlist: Initiate a playlist via the mobile app or web version and add content from the web, files, or Cards.
Sharing and Following: Playlists display the creator’s profile for easy access. Users can follow playlists or creators, find them via recommendations or the search engine, and view employee playlists on their profiles.
Adding External Content: Users can add external resources by sharing them directly through the LXP mobile app. For instance, sharing a YouTube video with the app indexes it for easy inclusion in playlists.
Catalog Content: Content from the company’s catalog can also be added to playlists using the search engine or homepage suggestions.
Playlist customization and management
Themes: Users can categorize playlists by predefined themes, enabling easier search and organization.
Duplication and Customization: Managers or project leads can duplicate playlists and adapt them for specific contexts, such as onboarding or team development.
Volume Registration: Managers can register entire teams for a playlist, streamlining access to curated content.
Enhancing learning with playlists
Bealink’s playlist features allow managers to engage teams by combining library resources with custom content (e.g., intranet files, videos). The platform’s powerful search engine and customizable themes make content discovery and organization seamless.
L&D-generated learning journeys
Create learning paths
Only administrators can create structured learning paths requiring sequential progression. These are set up via the Playlists tab in the Back Office, where admins can:
Configure language and visibility options.
Mark playlists or paths as "Official Playlists" (without profile pictures on thumbnails).
Highlight playlists on the homepage or group them into widgets for easier access.
Course details and overview
Descriptive Sheets: Automatically generated via integrations with content catalogs or HRIS tools, these sheets include information such as duration, sources, languages, descriptions, and pricing (if applicable).
Course Structure: Courses can include various formats (e.g., digital content, synchronous coaching, face-to-face training) and are organized into blocks with explanatory texts and separators for clarity.
Multimodal and time-based learning
Courses support flexible configurations:
Digital & Synchronous Elements: Combine on-demand content with scheduled coaching sessions, evaluations, and deadlines.
Automated Schedules: Define timelines based on absolute dates or registration relative deadlines. Configurable slots and tutor-student associations simplify event management.
Event Management: Stakeholders can access all scheduled events in the Event tab.
Progression, assessment, and certification
Progression Rules: Admins can block content until prerequisites are met (e.g., achieving 80% on a quiz to unlock subsequent modules). Locked content is clearly indicated with a padlock icon.
Automated Certification: Courses can auto-certify users at specific skill levels upon completion.
Additional features
Custom Emailing: Learning activities can be paired with customizable email notifications for engagement.
Multilingual Access: Courses are translatable and automatically adapt to the user's profile language for seamless accessibility.
