Article summary

Bealink attaches a lot of importance to the symbiotic nature of a learning ecosystem and the bottom-up dimension of learning. The platform allows the formalisation of business experts, mentors or coaches. Different collaborative modalities can be administered directly from the platform's user interface, such as the creation of synchronous events by certain users, the organisation of coaching sessions, etc. Learners have their profile that can be visited where you will find contact information but also content shared by the owner of the profile.

Profiles

As in any application, the user has their own profile. They can switch languages.

In addition to English, the following languages are available:

  • Bulgarian

  • Chinese (Simplified)

  • Chinese (Traditional)

  • Czech

  • Dutch

  • French

  • German

  • Greek

  • Hungarian

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Polish

  • Portuguese (Brazil)

  • Portuguese (Portugal)

  • Romanian

  • Russian

  • Slovenian

  • Spanish

  • Turkish

  • Ukranian

Note: Adding a new language is very rapid.

Users can also change their profile photo, view their information (job title, email, etc.) and view their social data.

As on LinkedIn or Instagram, a user can see their number of followers, the number of playlists they have created or the number of content created (whether it is external articles, links, videos or microlearning content created by Cards). Part of this profile is also used in research, in order to facilitate networking and peer-learning in the company.

This page allows you to contact a person directly via instant messaging (integration with a system present in the company such as Microsoft Teams), by email, to subscribe to the user, to see their playlists and content.

Subscribing to a profile allows the follower to be automatically notified (notification in the mobile app) when the author posts new content.

These mechanisms allow for social recognition of people who contribute and share their knowledge in the company, and allow L&D managers to identify experts or expertise. The organisation will then be able to capitalise on these champions, or relays, in order to include them in the learning company strategy.

Subject matter experts

SMEs play an essential role in the development of a company's employees and, once identified, we can assign them additional permissions allowing them to create synchronous events, contribute to communities, be mentors or coaches.

Managers

Managers also play an essential role in the development of their teams and Bealink gives them the tools to support their teams by allowing them to make recommendations or assignments, share content, validate skills.

Mentoring, coaching, observation, feedback

Users will be able to make requests for training between peers such as finding a mentor, being coached, asking to be observed by an expert performing a task, etc.

MicroLearning cards

Bealink has a micro-content creation tool available from the mobile app but also from the web. The philosophy of this tool is not to recreate an authoring tool with complex features for an audience of trainers like an Articulate, Elucidat... but to create a tool so simple that it can be put in everyone's hands.

And this is also one of the points of our value proposition, namely to think about the features to put them in the hands of each user. So we start from the premise that each user should have known or skills to share, and that it should be possible for them to do so as simply as making a comment on Facebook.

  • The content consists of different cards to be "swied" and combines text and image or video.

  • The uploaded media are pooled for the authors, which makes it even faster to create micro-content.

  • This feature can of course be activated or disabled by configuration, and can be replaced by your microlearning tool if you already have one by doing a technical integration.
