Article summary

Using the jobAlias parameter simplifies the notion of a job to be displayed on the jobs and skills pages.

To display Aliases, the jobAlias parameter must be enabled or activated.

Employment:

  • Definition of an Alias to define the label used to return the job (employee pages).

  • Allows you to define the same alias on local jobs, but to return a common wording.

Skill:

  • Define an alias for each domain to identify the job to which it is linked.

  • Allows you to avoid the need to go back to the root domain

Standard configuration:

  • Defining the set of available aliases in a centralised enumeration.

Set an alias for a job

Open the menu Directory > Jobs

  • An Alias field exists in the Card tab (required if the jobAlias setting is enabled):

For skills, the Alias can be configured from the Talent > Skill Categories. A selection field is added to the domain. It is required if the jobAlias parameter is enabled:

Adding aliases is still mandatory when the option is enabled, but no verification is done at the domain hierarchy level, so it is possible to define different aliases for 2 domains with the same parent domain.
