Categories are a tree-like classification system for trainings, curricula, and assessments. These elements can correspond to one or more categories. Categories enable faster training searches for users.
Create a category
Procedure
From the sidebar, open Administration.
In the Repository section, click on Categories.
The list of all available categories will appear.
Click on the New button.
If a category is already open, the new one will be created inside it. It can be moved after creation by dragging it to the desired location.
Fill in the information on the form.
Click on the Save button.
The category will appear in the list on the left.
Verification
A confirmation message will appear on the screen.
View a category’s record
Procedure
From the sidebar, open Administration.
In the Repository section, click on Categories.
Select the desired category from the tree structure.
The category’s record will appear to the right of the tree structure.
Edit a category
Procedure
From the sidebar, open Administration.
In the Repository section, click on Categories.
Select the desired category from the tree structure.
The category record will appear to the right of the tree structure.
Edit the desired information.
Click on Save.
Verification
A confirmation message will appear on the screen.
Delete a category
Procedure
From the sidebar, open Administration.
In the Repository section, click on Categories.
Select the desired category from the tree structure.
The category’s record will appear to the right of the tree structure.
Click on the Delete button.
Verification
A confirmation message will appear on the screen, and the theme will no longer appear in the tree structure.
Attention
The training sessions associated with the deleted category will no longer reference this category. Therefore, they will no longer be searchable via this category.
